About these terms

These Terms & Conditions describe use of the sumrze mobile app, browser app, and product website. sumrze is operated by Karan Sawhney as an individual, not a registered company. Contact: sumrze.support@gmail.com. The Privacy Policy explains data handling; it is not a blanket consent to every future use of data.

Using sumrze

You may use sumrze to record, organize, summarize, and search content you are entitled to process. Use it only where you have legal capacity to agree to applicable terms, or appropriate authorization. Keep your device secure and do not use the app to infringe rights, harass others, distribute unlawful content, or compromise another person’s privacy.

Recording permission and other people

You are responsible for obtaining any consent, notice, or authorization required to record, import, analyze, or share a conversation. Requirements differ by location and context, including workplace and confidential conversations. Microphone permission from your phone does not constitute permission from other people. Do not use speaker labels as proof of someone’s identity.

Your content

You retain your rights in your recordings, notes, and other content. These terms do not transfer ownership of your content to sumrze. You authorize the local processing needed for the features you use and the exports you request. You are responsible for the permissions needed for imported material and for deciding who receives shared content.

AI output and important decisions

Transcripts, summaries, answers, speaker assignments, and language tags can be incomplete or incorrect. Review important output against the recording or other reliable information. sumrze is a productivity tool, not professional medical, legal, financial, or emergency advice. Results, supported languages, speed, and device compatibility vary by model and hardware.

Storage and availability

Software may contain bugs or experience interruptions. Save independent copies of important content. Local deletion, lost devices, cleared browser data, or uninstalling the app can cause permanent loss; there is no sumrze cloud recovery service. Features may change as the app develops. Mandatory consumer rights are not affected.

Premium features and payments

Premium features are marked Coming soon and are unavailable in this release. Standard recording and standard AI models remain free. There is no purchase, subscription, or payment obligation for Premium in this release. Any future paid offer will state its price, included features, device/account coverage, and applicable refund and store terms before payment.

Third-party software and services

Downloaded models, open-source components, app stores, and sharing services may have separate licenses and terms. Those licenses remain applicable and are not replaced by these terms. External services control their own availability and data practices. Only use custom models and imported content you are permitted to use.

Responsibility and consumer protections

To the extent permitted by applicable law, the app is provided as available without a guarantee of uninterrupted operation, perfect accuracy, or fitness for a particular purpose. Nothing in these terms excludes rights, warranties, remedies, or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable consumer protections. These terms do not impose mandatory arbitration or waive access to remedies required by law.

Changes, stopping use, and contact
